Why aren't my pages indexed?
The common causes, and what to check first

If pages aren’t showing up in Google, don’t panic, it’s usually one of a handful of fixable causes. Here’s what to check, roughly in order of how often it’s the culprit.
1. Content quality (the most common cause)
Thin, duplicate, or low-value pages often don’t meet Google’s bar for indexing. Make sure each page has genuine, useful content and good internal links pointing to it.
2. Technical blocks
Check that your robots.txt isn’t blocking search engines, and that the page doesn’t have a “noindex” tag telling Google to skip it.
3. Crawl budget
On large sites, Google may not crawl every page. Prioritize your most important pages and keep your sitemap clean.
4. Technical errors
Broken links, server errors (404s, 500s), or too many redirects can all get in the way. Cromojo’s monitoring helps you spot these, see “Broken Links.”
5. Not enough trust yet
New sites, and sites with few backlinks, can sit in “Discovered – not indexed” until they earn Google’s trust. This improves as your site builds quality content and links.
A reality check
Even with everything above fixed, Google decides what gets indexed. Once you’ve addressed these issues, use Cromojo’s auto-indexing to improve your chances. See “Can you guarantee indexing?”
